In March this year a 40 year old Yellow Rock man was charged after a tip-off led police to discover a hydro set-up and $40,000 worth of drugs in a back shed.
In April a raid on a Mount St Thomas property netted officers over $100,000 worth of marijuana. The house had been modified with fans, ventilation pipes, an irrigation system and power outlets.
In 2014 a Vietnamese national on a student visa faced court after “crop-sitting” a Unanderra drug den with up to $680,000 worth of plants inside.
A blank wall was used to mask a West Dapto warehouse setup in 2010, with around 45 plants flourishing across three rooms. While in 2009 a 31 year old woman charged after a fire uncovered another crop.
