Council received six submissions for the upgrade work and gave Clement Marine Constructions, from Rozelle, the tender, worth $471,889 excluding GST.
The estimated total project cost is $670,369, which is up on the $556,000 originally budgeted. A report to Tuesday night’s council meeting said the spike in cost was attributable to an increased scope of work. The project involves replacement of decrepit sections of the concrete ramp and widening the western side. Work should be complete in 13 weeks.
