Jen Byrne is in the running for $3000 and is up against 92 other finalists from 21 countries – with works on display until October 30.

Now in it’s seventh year the exhibition features a selection of canvases, reclaimed objects like beer tins and skateboards.

Ms Byrne takes time out from her public servant life to delve into the arts world, and likes to capture the detail in nature and promote social justice through her work.
