The company responsible for the rollout released its three-year plan on Friday, which added 3100 premises in Helensburgh, Coalcliff, Otford, Stanwell Park and Stanwell Tops.
Work in these suburbs, where residents claim they are plagued by poor internet connections, is due to start in the first half of 2017.
Altogether, construction on the NBN is scheduled to begin for 72,500 premises in the Illawarra between now and September 2018, with the plan listing start dates for each area.
More than 1000 new premises in Berry have been added to the rollout as have 6100 in Merimbula.
