Newly appointed NSW State of Origin coach Laurie Daley will be a guest speaker at the Shellharbour Sharks 2012 sportsperson presentation dinner at Warilla Bowling Club on Friday, October 12.
After an illustrious playing career that included premierships with the Canberra Raiders, representing NSW and Australia, Daley became a media personality and television commentator.
Before his appointment as NSW coach, a role he takes over from his former Raiders, NSW and Australian team mate Ricky Stuart, Daley has coached Country Origin and the Indigenous All Stars.
One of Australia's most popular cricketers of all time, Doug Walters, also will be a guest speaker, as will the golden girl of Australian hockey Casey Eastham, fresh from the London Olympic Games.
Dual rugby league and rugby union international and multi-media personality Wendell Sailor will be guest compere.
There will be raffles, a memorabilia auction and silent auction on the night, a three-course meal, beer, wine and soft drinks.
Castelli and Co will provide the music.
Tickets are $80 each, $750 for a table of 10.
