Corrimal District Library and Community Centre brought to a stand still Friday morning

Dramas in Corrimal Friday morning when the District Library and Community Centre was ground to a halt and evacuated because of reports an uninvited guest was seen slithering through the foyer by cleaning staff.

It’s believed a brown snake without a valid library card was spotted in the building causing alarm.

Investigators found no signs of the slippery reptile, and could not confirm if it was searching for a copy of Snakes On A Plane.

A Wollongong City Council spokesperson apologised for any inconvenience, and said the centre was again open for business.

At this stage the brown bandit could still be at large, it may be on the way to the hisssss-tory section.
