Jarryd Hayne’s successful switch from the NRL to the NFL has inevitably prompted questions about whether more of the game’s big names might follow his lead.
Dugan - who has a tattoo of legendary Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis on his right leg - hasn’t ruled out having a crack at the NFL should the opportunity arise but with two more years to run on his current contract he said his loyalties lie with the Dragons.
‘‘If the opportunity came up, I’ve always said I’ll back my ability,’’ Dugan said.
‘‘But at the same time my contract is here.
“I’m contracted for two more years and I’m currently in talks about extending as well.
‘‘In the near future I can’t see it happening.’’
A switch to the U.S. would be a huge move for Dugan who has never been more settled off the field after recently getting engaged to partner Jordan in Thailand.
