Kookas beat defending one-day champions Lake to make this Sunday’s one-day final and also posted a 12-run win at Oakleigh Park.
Batting first Kookas made 5-151, led by Darren Zampa’s 60, plus 44 from Mick Perry and 30 from Adam Tracey.
Greg Connor took 2-12 with Lakers dismissed for 139. Kookas skipper Craig Bramble took 3-26 and Kish Patel 2-37, while Aaron Henry (26) top-scored for Lake.
‘‘Beating Lake is huge, so two wins back to back is very satisfying,’’ Bramble said.
‘‘We’re playing well as a team and getting plenty of contributors.’’
Meanwhile, Ryan Chatterton made an unbeaten 59 to lead Oak Flats to 6-156 against The Rail and a 28-run victory at Geoff Shaw Oval.
A spirited Razorbacks made 128 in reply with Matt Lawrence (31) and Mark Damoiseaux (28) top-scoring.
