The Wollongong NRE Hawks won their second game of the NBL pre-season tournament by handing Townsville a 22-point thrashing in Dandenong tonight.
The Hawks won 75-53 with forward Dan Jackson (14) leading the scoring.
Jackson started the game in the absence of veteran forward Glen Saville who was rested, along with centre Larry Davidson.
Other top scorers for the Hawks were Rhys Martin and Adris DeLeon with 12 points each
In a strong defensive effort the Hawks held Townsville to just 9 points in the second quarter and only five in the third quarter after the Crocodiles had come out firing with a 21-point first period.
Top scorer for Townsville was forward Jacob Holmes with 14.
