Robinson has entered King’s Officer for the country trainers only series, a week after Andsoitiswritten hit the line well to finish fourth behind Bitburg.
“The fact that’s he’s second-up and a month between runs means he’s still going to be fresh enough to run well on Saturday,” Robinson told Racing NSW.
“The horse was great first-up [over 1200m]. His work has been good and I’m happy with him even though his best form is over a mile.”
The Highway series gives Robinson and many other country trainers a rare opportunity to race at a Saturday metropolitan meeting.
“I’m looking forward to taking him to Rosehill. I can’t even remember the last time I had a metropolitan runner on a Saturday [before the series],” he said.
“I think he’ll run a good race.”
