“A 51-year-old male, deceased, was located by police. It is not being treated as suspicious and no further investigation is warranted,” Wollongong police duty officer Inspector Jim Fryday said.
Officers from the Illawarra Police Rescue Squad led the search, assisted by Polair.
They were joined by about SES volunteers for what was earlier described as a “police operation” near Robertson Lookout, also known as Robertson’s Knoll, off Harry Graham Drive.

12.30pm: Wollongong’s SES unit assisted police in a search and rescue operation at Mount Keira Sunday morning.
Twenty members were brought in to help the Illawarra Police Rescue Squad at Roberston Lookout, but were called off by 12:30pm.
A spokesperson said the matter was left to police for further investigations.
