The visitors were never in the contest as the slumped to the biggest defeat of the NBL season at WIN Entertainment Centre.
“They pressured us early and got the scoreboard rolling and shot the ball well. The anxieties built for us and unfortunately they just steamrolled us,” Dennis said.
“It is pretty disappointing because you think of some of the games we have had this year where we have dealt with pressure. Perth comes to mind.
“You know what they are going to do under Bevo.
“There is no secret.
“We took too many shortcuts and you can’t do that against that pressure defence because it will make you pay.”
Townsville have just a few days to regroup as they prepare for a match against bitter rivals Cairns Taipans on Wednesday night.
