With several staff sporting moustaches to support the Movember cause, the Laserbond offices in south-west Sydney look like a throwback to the 1980s.
‘’I’ve got a bit of a Merv Hughes look while another bloke looks like David Boon and another like Mark ‘Chopper’ Read,’’ Mr Suwart, 33, said.
‘’You get a few funny looks off customers, although it’s been a great conversation starter and a great way to raise awareness of what Movember is all about.’’
The annual Movember campaign raises awareness and funds to change the face of men’s health with an emphasis on prostate and testicular cancer and mental health.
‘’At our workplace we’ve had a couple of employees who’ve battled prostate cancer so this was a visible way for us to show our support,’’ Mr Suwart said.
‘’It shows every employee who has any kind of health problem, that we’re a team and we’re supportive and if they want to have a talk about anything they can.’’
There will be some keen to see Mr Suwart’s mo gone: ‘’My wife is refusing to kiss me and my two-year-old daughter’s a bit confused.’’
