Beveridge on Tuesday confirmed that Weeks will replace Demos pending NBL approval but labeled the suggestions a “load of crap” and the product of “small minded idiots.”
‘‘Tyson was one of the first players I picked in my team for who he is as a person,” Beveridge said.
‘‘I love the kid that much and there’s no way in the world that I or management would do that.
‘‘He’s done everything he can, we’ve gone through conventional physio, the strength work, the cortisone stuff with sports physicians and it just hasn’t responded.
‘‘I’m devastated for the guy and everything’s been about what we could do to get Tys back next year and at the moment he needs rest.
‘‘Whether it’s eight-10-12 weeks we’ll look after him as best as we can with the hope of him being right next year.’’
