They trumped hits by Angi, Gordi, Cosmo’s Midnight and Big White for the award highly regarded in the music industry.
Key vocalist Dane Taylor said the group were “over the moon” and wanted to thank the Illawarra for getting behind them and voting for them in the annual competition.
It couldn’t have come at a better time with their new single “Helluva Lot” to be released early February.
“It’s a really good leaking-off point as far as promotion and bragging rights, though it’s hard to say what will come from it but hoping to build a bit of steam,” said Taylor.
As promised if the band won, they will treat their fans to a free show in Wollongong with a date and location to be announced soon.
