BLACK RIVER
There is a bushfire at Bass Highway, Black River.
Smoke is impacting on the Bass Highway and the camping grounds have been evacuated.
An evacuation Centre has been established at the Stanley Recreation Grounds - Hale Street, Stanley
Fire under these conditions can be difficult to control.
What to do:
People in Black River should keep up to date by listening to ABC Local Radio or look at the TFS website at www.fire.tas.gov.au
Well prepared homes are defendable in these conditions.
If you are not prepared for a bushfire, think about leaving for a safe place if it gets more dangerous.
If your family has made a bushfire survival plan, check it now.
STRATHGORDON
Police wish to advise that the Gordon Rover Road to Strathgordon will be closed at the Maydeena Shop due to bush fires in the immediate area.
For persons who are west of Maydeena and need to seek appropriate refuge, the Strathgordon Lodge has been nominated as a safe facility at this stage.
CALDER AND WYNYARD
UPDATE:
5.30pm UPDATE: The Tasmania Fire service has downgraded the Calder Rd fire to an advice level.
There is no immediate to homes.
EARLIER: Two helicopters have been called in to help ground crews at the Calder fire.
It's believed one is a dropping water, the other spotting.

This fire may put Calder Road at high risk Now.
There may be embers, smoke and ash falling on Calder Road and threaten your home earlier than the main fire.

If your home is well prepared and actively defended, it should provide shelter.
If you are going to leave, make sure you have a clear path to a safer place.
There is an evacuation centre at the Wynyard Showground.
If your family has made a bushfire survival plan, use it now.
If you don't live near Calder Road, stay away. The roads could be very dangerous.

There is a bushfire at Calder Road, Wynyard.
There is no immediate threat.
Fire under these conditions can be difficult to control.

People in Wynyard should keep up to date by listening to ABC Local Radio or look at the TFS website HERE.

If you are not prepared for a bushfire, think about leaving for a safe place if it gets more dangerous.

A TFS spokesperson said a number of number vehicles are moving towards the fire.
He said it's possible a couple of properties are under threat.
EARLIER: FIVE crews are currently battling a fire on Calder Road, Wynyard.
The Tasmanian Fire Service received reports about 12.30pm.
There are no more details at present.
PREOLENNA:
A shed fire at Preolenna has caused a grass fire. The TFS has three crews attending.
MAWBANNA: The TFS has issued a watch and act alert for a fire Burning near Mawbanna.
The fire has burned more than 600 hectares.
This fire may put Mawbanna area at high risk within two hours.
There may be embers, smoke and ash falling on Mawbanna area and threaten your home earlier than the main fire.
Fire under these conditions can be difficult to control
Sisters Beach have enacted their community bushfire plan.
Winds gusts are up to 50 kilometres an hour.
LIENA, MERSEY FOREST
There is a bushfire at Patons Road, Mersey Forest.
This fire may put Liena at high risk 6 - 12 Hours.
This fire will be difficult to control.
There may be embers, smoke and ash falling on Liena.
ROAD CLOSURES
North-West road closures
On advice from Tasmania Fire Service the following roads are closed to the public:
Ballast Pit Road to Calder road, Calder
Calder Road between 127 and Pages Road
Lemonthyme Road, Lorinna
Dip Road and Peegra Road, Mawbanna
UPDATE:
On advice from Tasmania Fire Service the following roads have been closed
Mersey Forest Road at Olivers Road, Mersey Forest
Westrope Road at Western Creek Road, Western Creek
Liffey Falls Conservation Area and reserve has been closed by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife.
Numerous tracks and camp grounds have been closed in the Northern Region by Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife in particular;
