The developer of Bulli’s Brickworks estate has assured residents that it has fixed problems that caused runoff from the site to pollute Slacky Creek.

A large pump has been installed to remove water overflowing from the detention pond, and a few extra hay bales are in place.
Village Building Company deputy chief operating officer Bryan Leeming said measures were in place as required by Wollongong City Council and the EPA.
Mr Leeming said the company had acted swiftly after being informed by council of the pollution discolouring the creek.
“[We] immediately responded and undertook remediation works on the same day to council’s satisfaction,” he said.
“Village are confident that the remediation works will assist in rectifying future problems and will ... monitor this matter closely.”
