Wollongong Central is offering free all-day parking as part of Australia Day celebrations. In a rare departure from its paid parking schedule, the shopping centre will open more than 2000 spaces to the public from 8am to 7pm.

The P1 car park off western Market Street will remain open until after the 9.30pm harbour fireworks display.
The centre will host games and food stalls, with a live broadcast of the Australian Open screening at the top of the mall from 11am.
Humber and Top Juice will be selling food and drinks for the Open coverage. Meantime, Bush’s Fresh Meats will be in the mall for an Australia Day-themed barbecue.
The mall will also host table tennis, handball and a giant volleyball game throughout the day.
