Page hammered his third ton of the season which included 12 massive sixes at Hollymount Park, but Northern Districts hung on for a draw, finishing 9/129 chasing 9/277.
Last pair Jackson Stewart (16no) and Stephen Bond (2no) survived eight tense overs for the Butchers to claim three points.
At Judy Masters Oval, Bunyan could not have scripted a better day for his parents to arrive from Hay as he destroyed Wests Illawarra in Bally’s easy win.
On a bowler friendly track, Bally managed just 108 batting first but Bunyan took the first eight Wests wickets in a career-best 10-over spell, with the visitors dismissed for just 55 in 19.3 overs.
Balgownie looked in trouble after struggling to 108, with Rob Fisher holding the innings together with a game-high 42, while Bunyan made a key unbeaten 18.
But 108 was plenty with Wests back in the sheds in barely an hour.
‘‘It was a great day to bowl. I pitched it up and the wickets came my way,’’ Bunyan said.
‘‘It was a good day for my parents to be here. You don’t expect an 8-for any time, so it was great to bowl well.’’
With a lead of 53, defending premiers Balgownie went chasing an unlikely outright in one day, batting just five overs in their second dig and declaring at 2/49 - for a lead of 102.
But play was called off due to lightening just seven balls into Wests second dig, with the visitors finishing at 0-4.
The victory gave fourth-placed Bally some breathing room in their bid for a top four final’s spot.
Northern Districts home clash with Uni was the only other game to proceed, with the other three matches called off after Friday’s storms.
Andrew Page smashed the Butchers bowlers as the Students recovered from 6/31 to totally dominate day two but still left frustrated by a draw.
Page was unstoppable and supported by Shaun Thompson (12no on day one); Oliver Sharwood (40), Rhys Voysey (23no) and Murray Crowe (18no) as the Students posted 9/277.
In reply the Butchers were never a winning chance and dug in for a draw, with Josh Colmer (33) top-scorer and Kurt Majoor taking 4-22.
There was no play on either day in the other three games. Dapto lost ground on Bally after a washout against Wollongong followed a rained-out draw away to Helensburgh. Port Kembla v Corrimal and Keira v the Burgh were also called off.
Ladder: Corrimal 51, Keira 50, Burgh 45, Bally 43, Dapto 34, Uni 32, Norths 31, Wests 25, Wollongong 15, Port Kembla 12.
