The T20 finals in all grades was due to be played on Sunday but have been moved to February 28 after Croome Road was declared not able to cope with a full day of finals.
But The Rail’s officials have worked hard this week to ensure their home clash with Kookas on Saturday will ahead after last Saturday’s first day was washed out.
In the top of the table clash between Oak Flats and Lakers at Howard Fowles Oval, Lakers have the upper hand after bowling first on day one and dismissing the visitors for just 98.
Rats skipper Michael Arblaster (37) top-scored, while Andy Twyford made an unbeaten 29. Lake bowlers took advantage of the toss with Mark Ulcigrai (3-20) supported by Brendan White (2/13), Greg Connor (2/16) and Aaron Henry (2/25).
Lakers resume 1/14.
A first innings win and some second innings bonus points would give Lakers top spot from Oak Flats with only two rounds remaining and both clubs still to have another bye (no points).
Meanwhile, Kookas and The Rail will be desperate to get some match practice and force a result after the day one washout,.
Third-placed Kookas can still finish top two and avoid being a victim of the weather if the semi-finals are affected by rain.
Ladder (before round 13) Oak Flats 88, Lake 75, Kookas 66, The Rail 57, Kiama 27.
