News that a DA was recently lodged with Shellharbour council for stage one of the marina retail precinct saw some residents voice concerns through the Mercury website that a hotel was no longer included in the plans.
“Where is the hotel which was included in the original master plan?,” asked one reader.
“Did the developer build more residential and not commit to the hotel?”
Developer Fraser Property Australia said a hotel had always been a key element of the The Waterfront.
“The hotel will have a prominent position in the masterplan and the project team is committed to the development of the masterplan including the hotel,” a spokesperson said.
