The 24-year-old is entering the prime of his career and his utility value makes him one of the Swans’ key players leading into 2016.
With Kurt Tippett likely to play more in the ruck to cover for the retiring Mike Pyke and club legend Adam Goodes also retired, Reid could be a key player up forward in the position he started his career.
‘‘This pre-season I have done more predominately as a forward but I could end up back,’’ Reid said.
‘‘We had LRT (Lewis Roberts-Thomson) before and if I am to play that kind of role it is fine with me.’’
Reid is only two games off the magic 100 but game 99 will be particular special with round one to mean another clash with big brother Ben and Collingwood at ANZ Stadium on March 26.
‘‘At first it was strange playing my big brother, but I’ve got used to it. I don’t want to lose, especially Rd 1.’’
