The team at Symbio Wildlife Park started Chinese New Year celebrations early when two baby Cotton Top Tamarins started putting on a show. The two month old monkeys had mostly clung to their parents but with the Year of the Monkey looming started running around for fun. Zookeepers such as Maritza Gaete feel like 2016 will bring plenty of luck as the now complete Cheetah and Lemur exhibits await new arrivals and work progresses on an interactive farmyard.

The Cheetah are expected around April and the farmyard construction began after Symbio secured $125,000 in funding from The Tradies in Helensburgh.
When the farmyard opens this year it will reintroduce what was once Symbio's most popular attraction.
It will include baby farm animals for children to interact with, examples of permaculture and education for all ages to help live a more sustainable life through growing their own produce, composting, worm farming, rainwater harvesting and even keeping backyard chickens.
