Police have identified a driver killed on Picton Road on Sunday as a 75-year-old Emu Plains man.

The man’s 73-year-old wife was travelling beside him when their westbound 4WD was allegedly clipped by a ute and forced into an eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with a Jeep. The lady has been discharged from Liverpool Hospital.
Meantime the Jeep driver, a woman aged in her 40s, remains at the hospital in a stable condition.
The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit is probing the circumstances that led to the crash.
The ute driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital for blood and alcohol testing.
No charges have yet been laid in connection to the tragedy.
The identity of the deceased man has not been made public.
