Member for Kiama Gareth Ward said innovative projects that could improve recreational fishing across the region, would be considered.
“These projects are a great opportunity for fishers, clubs and community groups across our region to get their own fishing project afloat to enhance and improve local facilities or increase fish stocks,” Mr Ward said.
Recreational fishing generates around $1.6 billion to the NSW economy and more than 14,000 jobs. Applications for the funding close on March 21. For details visit www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fisheries/recreational.
