It is the second year they have offered table service in a large section of the restaurant romantically themed for the occasion and dressed the waiting staff up in style for the table service they are offering on Sunday night.
Mr and Mrs Dwarte are doing it because they want to give Illawarra couples another chance to share the McLove on February 14 and know not everyone can afford an expensive meal in a five star restaurant.
So they have introduced a $20 two course and $25 three course option for Sunday including an entree they have designed from the selection of Create Your Own Taste ingredients.
“It is about helping people enjoy an affordable night out on Valentine’s Day,” Mrs Dwarte said.
The Shellharbour business couple’s son John Dwarte is organising the special event that is open for couples and families and is putting on eight additional staff to meet the demand.
If the Dwarte’s book out a third seating they will have to consider introducing the popular idea to another restaurant as well.
“Maybe all Illawarra stores could do it next year,” Mrs Dwarte said.
She said people who took part in the first Valentine’s Day table service experience at McDonalds Warilla in 2015 enjoyed it so much some even wanted to give the waiting staff a tip.
Mr Dwarte said it was a wonderful atmosphere last time and they they were expecting that again this weekend.
