If you don’t have a sweetheart to romance this Sunday, never fear, Shellharbour council wants to you to make the city your Valentine instead.
The council has planned a family fun day to help people “feel the love” amid the government’s Shellharbour/Wollongong merger plan.
A rally will begin at Shellharbour’s northern border with Wollongong, beneath Windang Bridge at 12pm, then head east along Reddall Reserve to join the community day.
Entitled “Feel the Love” it will run from 12.30pm to 3pm, with performances, slides, a jumping castle, food stalls and children's activities. Mayor Marianne Saliba called on residents to “show their passion for our city, at a time when its future is in question."
