Lyndey Milan is the host of seven television series that have screened nationally and internationally and author of nine food and wine books. They include Lyndey Milan’s Taste of Australia, which won Best TV Chef Book in English at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Her presentation is expected to be fairly emotional at Inspire 2016 where all the profits go to the Leukaemia Foundation. Ms Milan lost her son Blair to blood cancer.
“She is very passionate about regional Australia and will share her story while you taste her delicious recipes. Claude from Villa D’Oro will be cooking from her book and also her new TV series which starts next week,” Mrs Biggs said.
There is also a panel discussion led by Wendy Gee, of Wave FM, with local women born in other countries. They are Isha Knill, Eugenia Pyne and Nina Field who have stories that fit into the theme of the annual lunch which is to Inspire, Motivate and Celebrate. The February 26 event is supported by Commonwealth Bank.
