The 26-year-old Caringbah man was allegedly steering a van with his knees when he was spotted by police on the Princes Highway at Gerringong, about 12pm Wednesday.
Police travelling in an unmarked car initially saw food items being thrown from the van’s driver’s side window.
The van swerved within its lane, and crossed into the breakdown lane, before veering back on course.
Once parallel with the van, police saw the driver with a food container in his left hand, a fork in his right hand, eating the food and steering using his knees.
Police issued the man with an infringement notice for driving without proper control of a vehicle.
He was fined $425 and lost three demerit points.
