The classy four-year-old made the switch from Tony Noonan’s stable in Victoria late last year after Markwell was contacted by part-owner Jai Kent.
He has made a quick impression in Markwell’s care.
After finishing in the money a fortnight ago, Bolord chalked up his first victory at his new home track in the Arnold Bowden IT Consultant Benchmark 60 Handicap (1400m).
“He has settled in well. He is a lovely horse,” Markwell said.
“He is a very kind horse which will get further.”
“I think he will win a race in town.”
The victory completed a race-to-race double for Markwell, who had Alert By Sea win the One Flush Plumbing Servives Benchmark 60 Handicap (1400m).
