Racing will be held across 12 classes on a huge day of racing starting at 8am at the Mount Kembla track.
Club secretary Mick Johnson said the club is set for a big year as it celebrates the 50-year milestone on the mountain.
“We’ve got a big anniversary coming up this year having been on-site here for 50 years,” Johnson said.
“The first one will be a big one. Our membership has exploded in the last few months, we’ll have 140-150 riders. We had a bit of a lean year last year but we’re really promoting a lot harder this year.
“We’ve got a lot more sponsors on board this year, a lot of great local businesses which has been a big help.”
Johnson said the club will also be looking to introduce it’s youngest members to the race format this year.
“We start them off young,” he said.
“We’ve got schools for the kids that are just starting out and then hopefully they’ll progress from the schools into the race format. We’ve got a few younger state champions from last year that’ll be back again.
“Each race will consist of either 10 minutes or five laps. They’ll have three rounds through the day with riders accumulating points.
“There’ll be a winner at the end of the day and the points will carry through the whole year. We’re hoping to hold seven or maybe eight point-scores during the year.”
