The male senior constable was driving an unmarked police vehicle Thursday afternoon when he was allegedly under the influence.
He was spoken to by a senior officer when he returned to the station just after 3.30pm.
As a result of the conversation, the senior constable was subjected to a breath-test, which returned a positive reading.
Breath analysis soon after returned a reading of 0.138.
The officer was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA and is due to appear before Nowra Local Court on April 4.
