UK introduces sugar tax on soft drinks, Jamie Oliver urges Australia to follow

Drinks with more than 8 grams of sugar per 100 millilitres will be taxed at a higher rate than drinks with less than 5 grams of sugar per 100 millilitres in the UK.

London: "Pull your finger out Australia," Britain's celebrity chef Jamie Oliver urged, after hearing the UK government would introduce a tax on sugary soft-drinks.
