Oaks Hotels & Resorts' coastal resort property, Oaks Cable Beach Sanctuary, in the pearling town of Broome, has unveiled its makeover in time for the impending peak tourist season, as the leading hotelier forges ahead with a momentous refurbishment program across a selection of Australian hotels and resorts. Costing an estimated $2.5 million, the transformation spanned six months and focused on the resort's self-contained accommodation. All studios, one and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom villas received major interior upgrades.

Brisbane home to latest ibis Styles
The largest new build ibis Styles hotel in Australia, ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street, has been officially opened by the hotel owner, Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. Al-Sabah, founder and chairman of Action Hotels, together with Simon McGrath, chief operating officer, AccorHotels Pacific, said it was the 10th and largest hotel in the Action Hotel portfolio, and the group's first hotel in Brisbane. Mr McGrath said the opening of ibis Styles Brisbane "is a milestone development for AccorHotels and Action Hotels and we expect this hotel to be a major boost for the local economy, not only from a tourism perspective, but also supporting the local economy, creating up to 100 hospitality jobs and during construction nearly 250 jobs".
