Coolangatta Estate’s Ben Wallis said the Frizzante was bottled by Tyrrells on Tuesday and would be back within two weeks. The Frizzante was first introduced two years ago to celebrate the 25th vintage. It has proved so popular the first two vintages each sold out within 12 months.
Mr Wallis said the 2016 harvest finished a week later than expected because rain meant they had to wait longer to pick the Cabernet. Vigneron Greg Bishop then wasted no time heading to the Hunter Valley to talk to the winemakers at Tyrrells who were really pleased with what they have been sent.
“There are a couple of special wines in the mix this year,” Mr Wallis said.
