Robyn Nevin, actor, director and artistic director, was one of three women nominated in the Arts & Culture category.
InStyle editor Emily Taylor said she was delighted to announce such an esteemed group of women for the eighth year of the awards.
"Innovators, mentors and leaders in their chosen fields, the achievements of this year's nominees are truly extraordinary," she said.
Ms Nevin appeared on stage in A Streetcar Named Desire and King Lear, and in films such as the Matrix trilogy and The Castle, as well as the comedy series Upper Middle Bogan.
She also directed the critically acclaimed production of Hedda Gabler starring Cate Blanchett for the Sydney Theatre Company, along with The Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and Don Parties On for the Melbourne Theatre Company.
Currently, she said she hopes to continue learning about her chosen fields.
"I would like to deepen and expand the knowledge I have gained in my specific areas of interest, and reach out via related talks and programs."
Winners of the InStyle awards will be announced at a red carpet event in May.
The April issue of InStyle magazine is on sale now, which includes full features on all nominees. 'Readers Choice' votes can be made.
