A SHOALHAVEN Heads man and Nowra woman allegedly found in possession of property stolen from mailboxes in the local area have appeared in Nowra Local Court.

Bradley John Scott, 35, of Renown Avenue and Kylie Louise Strickland, 33, of Nineveh Close, appeared before Magistrate Clare Farnan on Monday.
Scott faces a number of charges including operator allowing the contravention of a Class A vehicle, cause or permit use of an unregistered vehicle on the road, three counts of possessing a prohibited drug, possessing or attempting to prescribe a restricted substance, five counts of goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen and resisting arrest.
The court heard the pair were in an unregistered vehicle stopped by police on Moss Vale Road, Cambewarra between 4.25am and 4.50am on March 4.
Police had been investigating the alleged mail theft and fraudulent use of credit cards from Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Shoalhaven Heads during February and March, with a search of the vehicle uncovering a number of stolen credit cards, driver’s licences and other personal cards.
Police alleged Scott was in possession of a National Diabetes card, a man’s driver’s licence and a woman’s Qantas Frequent Flyer card.
Later that day at Shoalhaven Heads, police allegedly discovered an envelope with another man’s name on it, a pension card and a bank statement belonging to separate men.
Police also charged him with being in possession of a Bestway blowup backyard pool, pump and piping on December 23.
Police alleged Scott also changed the number plates on a vehicle stopped in Kalandar Street, Nowra on February 9.
He was also allegedly in possession of 2.1 grams of methamphetamines, endep 25 (amitriptyline), .27g of methamphetamines and .89g of cannabis, a new apple iPad, a Mastercard and two driver’s licences for different men.
He was also allegedly found on March 11 at Nowra with a blue Rip Curl silicon watch, suspected of being stolen.
He will reappear in court on May 23.
Strickland didn’t attend court but faces charges of using an unregistered vehicle and two counts of having good suspected of being stolen.
The court heard she was stopped in a pink Mitsubishi Lancer on Moss Vale Road, Cambewarra between 4.25am and 4.50am on March 4.
Court papers stated she was found in possession of two Mastercards, a bank statement, envelope and a pension card belonging to other people.
She will reappear in court on May 16.
