After missing the Canaries preseason Challenge Cup final triumph, former NRL half Beau Henry starred for the home side, scoring two tries and kicking six goals in the win.
Matt Johnstone, Keith Lulia, Jason Raper and Lulia Lulia also got the sheet after the Canaries led 18-6 at the break before adding three more tries in the second half to seal the win.
Damien Blanch and Joel Johnson got across for the visitors while Jack Croman kicked two goals.
The win sets up a round two blockbuster between two of the league’s oldest rivals when Dapto travel to Parrish Park to take on Wests this Saturday after the Devils handed Collegians 36-6 defeat.
