Judy always carefully clarifies and refers all that she writes making it very easy to understand that the whole vaccination system needs a complete overhaul and is not what we are led to believe. This partition is no doubt designed to denigrate and disgrace her as it tells the truth. Well done Judy there should be more like you .

Wonderful Wollongong
Over my lifetime I have resided in many regions of NSW. Since coming to the Illawarra 35 years ago to live, I have recognised and appreciated the wonderful area we live in.
Recently I was taking my dog for a walk, and not far from home I slipped and fell heavily. Unable to get off the ground because of what was later diagnosed as a badly fractured ankle, I could only lay where I was.
Not a soul in sight at the time, then all of a sudden there were concerned people coming from everywhere to help. I was assisted into a neighbor's car and taken to my front door to wait for the ambulance, thence to Wollongong hospital for treatment and a short stay.
Back home and confined to a wheelchair for the next few weeks I can only say a big thank you to all who assisted me. Wonderful neighbours, wonderful ambos, wonderful doctors and nurses and lastly but by no means least, Wonderful Wollongong.

Mall a security threat?
The Wollongong City Mall made it into the pages of the Sydney Morning Herald today (Thurs April 14). It was a photo of one of the (now removed) planter boxes and bench that used to grace our mall. It seems that was a big security mistake.
The Herald says ‘’A new set of guidelines for dealing with the threat of improvised explosive devices recommends the installation of strategically placed objects such as planter boxes, seats and bollards on pavements and entrances to buildings, shops and restaurants that front public areas’’.
It seems these structures that the council found so undesirable could save your life if someone blew themselves up. The mall with its open spaces and no cover could become a shooting gallery for someone with a gun. I have long been a critic of the mall, and these "new guidelines" only make the council's decisions look worse.

Mt Keira needs discussion
I was surprised to read Stephen Young's letter (brakes on Mt Keira plan 12 April) referring to a presentation to a Council focus group about a destination Wollongong document "Mt Keira Adventure Playground" in which, among other matters, mountain bike riding and zip lining are presented as if each is already a fait accompli, not a matter for broad public discussion.
This is disturbing given that a cornerstone of the vision behind the escarpment management plan adopted in the 1990's was that the escarpment and in particular Mt Keira should be restricted to passive recreation.
In that management plan, mountain bike riding was illegal in the Illawarra escarpment conservation area, for very good environmental and safety reasons.
So, what has changed? Has WCC suddenly decided to lower the conservation protection of the Illawarra escarpment state conservation area to change the Illawarra strategic plan and legalise Mountain bike riding along the escarpment?
Surely the whole concept of such broad change in the management of Mt Keira and other escarpment lands needs wide consultation and careful deliberation before implementing. Many of the suggestions in the adventure playground proposal imply abrogation of public land for private use.
