It ended with Nowra-Bomaderry doing enough to keep up with the Group Seven pacesetters, with a scrappy 32-18 win on Saturday.
Shellharbour and Gerringong also recorded victories on Sunday to form a leading trio in the competition.
Albion Park harnessed the spirit of Gray’s milestone to put first points on the board when prop Kane Scarrats charged over to score what would be the first of his two tries for the match. The Jets responded with three first half tries of their own, including five-eighth Steve Brandon collecting his own kick to score. The score at the break was 16-6, setting up a comfortable win.
While the mistake rate was too high, particularly in the second half from both sides, some of their attacking plays, when the ball stuck, were brilliant.
The rugged Nathan Falzon was one of the Jets’ best, as was fellow centre Jacob Dolan, who scored three tries in victory.
Lock Josh Sainsbury produced led the way for Albion Park, while the silky skills fullback Aiden Menzies were on display.
Gray, in this milestone match, was his normal crafty self.
Winger Ed Ansell scored two tries for Shellharbour, as the Sharks overpowered Jamberoo 24-10.
Gerringong fullback Joel Roberts was among the Lions best, with a try and five goals in a hard-fought 26-12 win over Port Kembla.
Warilla crossed late to beat Berry-Shoalhaven Heads 22-20.
