Police have arrested and charged a man over an alleged home invasion in Warrawong this morning.
A naked man entered the Carlotta Crescent unit by smashing a window about 1am.
The 22-year-old female occupant woke to find the man inside, according to police.
The intruder allegedly threatened the woman, who managed to run out the front door and escape to a neighbouring flat.
Lake Illawarra police attended the scene, where they allegedly found the the 55-year-old man in the shower. A crime scene was established at the woman’s home and forensically examined.
The man was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter with intent to commit serious indictable offence.
He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court today.
