A South Coast Correctional Centre prisoner who allegedly headbutted and punched a guard several times has appeared in Nowra Local Court. Andrew Bell, 21, appeared on Monday charged with assaulting a law officer (not police) and assaulting a law enforcement officer (not police) inflicting actual bodily harm. The officer suffered nose bleeding, forearm bruising and thumb swelling. The matter will be back in court on May 9.
