Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian revealed the date of this year’s NSW budget on Tuesday but gave little away about Illawarra spending during her visit to region.

Ms Berejiklian said, when it came to supporting the Illawarra, she hoped the government’s track record over the past five years spoke volumes and showed the region would “continue to be a strong area of emphasis for the government”.
“Not only Wollongong but the region in its whole,” she said. “We have a lot to be proud of in this region, we have a lot to look forward to in this region.”
Asked if any new projects would feature in the budget, to be handed down on June 21, Ms Berejiklian was tight-lipped. “I don’t want to give too much away but I hope you’ve realised by the infrastructure spend we’ve already made that when we say we’re going to do something we do it,” she said.
