The Wollongong ironman will take to the trails against the likes of world championship runner-up Braden Currie in the Asia-Pacific Championships. South African champion Bradley Weiss also returns to the race.
“Very excited to be heading back after missing this event in 2015,” the 27-year-old said.
“Training has been going really well and after a solid start to the 2016 season I am looking forward to testing my form against some of the world’s best.”
The women’s elite race will be another exciting race, featuring reigning European champion Renata Bucher, USA bronze medalist Catherine Sterling and Philippines winner Lizzie Orchard.
The leading Australian contenders include reigning ITU Cross Triathlon Australian national champion Penny Hosken and reigning Asian tour champion Jacqui Slack.
