A stunning seven goal second half display, which included four from young gun Sandy Lowcock, guided the 2013 League Championship winners to a memorable 7-1 victory over South Coast United on Sunday. But with games against Wollongong United, Tarrawanna and Bulli in the next three weeks, Beedie’s men still have a big challenge ahead to keep momentum going towards a post-season spot.
“We have left ourselves with a lot to do to make the finals after a very ordinary start but we have confidence in the shed and the players believe in themselves,” Beedie said.
“When you have got somebody who can score you four goals in any game, you are going to be a chance and a threat.”
Port are currently on four competition points, which leaves them three behind fifth-placed Albion Park.
