Illawarra Business Chamber CEO Debra Murphy will join the 20,000 plus people expected at the 10th annual Wings Over Illawarra event on April 30-May 1.
In the lead up to this fantastic event, Ms Murphy took a flight with Southern Bi-Planes to get a feel for what’s on offer at the airport in Albion Park Rail.
“Last weekend I flew in the historic ‘Lilly Warra’ bi-plane over Illawarra, and it was amazing. I felt liberated in flight….put simply, I found my very own wings over Illawarra,’’ she said.
The region’s links to aviation history has led to Wings Over Illawarra being recognised as an official Illawarra 200 event. This year’s air show will feature Australia’s own ‘Top Gun’ Matt Hall as well as the Russian Roolettes.
