In a weekend double, the Hawks fell 81-43 to Newcastle, before going down against Maitland 105-67.
Their next game is on May 7 away to the Central Coast Crusaders.
Sean Mullan led the way against the Breakers with 11 points, while Jarrod Sorenson had 10 rebounds.
However, they were outgunned, trailing 37-19 at half-time, before the Hunters piled on 24 points to nine in the third quarter.
Against Maitland, Illawarra trailed 62-32 at half-time, but rallied to scored 23 points in the third term.
Keelan Ward topped the scoring with 15 points, as Bailey O’Brien finished with eight. Sorenson had another 10 rebounds and finished with seven points.
The women’s Hawks team also lost to the Hunters, going down 85-55.
Lauren Sparks scored 18 points, while Olivia White had 17 points and 15 rebounds.
