The festival will include more than 10 of the Illawarra’s funkiest original artists who will be performing at the Gerringong Bowling Club as part of the event.
The line-up is packed with some of my favourite local bands with funk, reggae, blues and of course surf-rock artists all taking part.
Adam Loxley is the driving force behind the event and with the help from the team at Werri Beach Boardriders, this will be the second year the festival has run and it’s shaping up to be even bigger than last year’s.
19-Twenty will be one of the main headline acts on the day and with their ability to pack out venue after venue not just in the Illawarra but all over the country, I’ve got no doubt they will get feet moving and booty’s shaking on the day.
Front man Kane Dennelly must have been born with a slide guitar in hand with the way he makes his way around that thing like it’s a part of his anatomy.
Definitely not a band you want to miss at the festival.
Mac Tango will be another headlining act on the day and they have some of the coolest reggae tunes I have ever heard.
These guys are the kind of band who wear pineapple-patterned shirts, have long curly hair and just smile all the way through the set.
Their funky tunes get the crowd moving every time these guys perform.
Kiama local Sean Emmett, who is one of the best original artists I’ve seen and is still so young, will be performing on the day.
Kingdog and The Catz will also be bringing their funky brand of reggae and soul to the mix led by Kiama Downs front man Ian King.
Gerringong young guns Tropical Wax will be performing their own groovy indie tunes with Grace George and Ben Fryer uniting on vocals and guitar along with Dom Littrich and Jack Kay.
Josh Hamilton and his band Grapevine Jane will be joining the line-up along with Jack Rose, Dane Overton, Sandy Feet and Flash.
Like I said, the line-up for this event has some of the best local bands so if you like your live music you won’t want to miss it.
