The South Coast Writers Centre is behind the free spoken word and music event which will run over the next six months beginning on May 6th.
Two featured artists will take to the stage, such as slam-poet Lorin Elizabeth and song-writer and drummer Damion Stirling, before the mic gets turned over to the audience.
“[It] increases the visibility of the growing amount of artists in the region and bring some lively local talent into a Friday night in the Mall,” said coordinator Mignon Lee-Warden.
Local cafes will hold pop-up performances during the events along with discounted items.
