Leading the Illawarra charge, Armytage won the drop knee division, winning the final against Coffs Harbour’s Matt Sullivan and Mitchell Ashcroft and Sydney’s Matthew Mytka.
Armytage had moved through the heats without dominating, before delivering high scoring rides when it mattered.
Ettalong’s Scott Arena took out a remarkable double, winning the open men and masters categories. "In the past, I have mainly stuck to the Opens division, but thought I would give both the masters and opens a crack this year,” Arena said.

“I’m so happy to come away the win across both titles.” Another Central Coast rider Shauna Gillett claimed the women’s crown, winning every heat on the way.
Sydney trio Liam Lucas (Under-18), Liam Newman (Under-16) and Sam Giddy (Under-14) all showed they are rising stars of the sport by winning junior divisions.
Kiama Downs competitor Hunter Nicholls was third in the Cadets division.
The Kiama results also help determine the NSW team for the Australian Surf Festival, to be held at Coffs Harbour in August.
